When Your Art Fails You


Where words huddle
genocidally
at the precipice’s edge-
and fall
meaninglessly,
fade
greyly,

their ideas
if they have legs
jump ship,
don overalls
and take to paint.

Paintless,
I ask you
to imagine
salmon pink here,

pure colour
as the true completion point
and not
these now
superfluous words.
