Microponderings 4.- Naturally

The leaf never lands
Pendulously swinging lower
As the earth retreats

Beech tree leans over
Bending head to the river
Beauty of despair

Taste of a pear
Juice escaping my mouth
A wet smile

Rubbing lavender
Between finger and thumb
For connectedness

An apple cored
Still tastes of apple
Without its heart

Waterfalls cadence
Rivulets in myriad
There’s strength in Beauty

Behind our windows
We only know of the wind
By the quivered trees

Stopped heart
Wilfully held beat
Pear falls from tree

  1. Each of these a complete sensory experience. Liked the apple one Brian mentioned too. The pear one felt so medieval and sweet. But really loved them all.

  2. Well done mix of micropoems that are good on their own and mix together well. Like several others, the one that really jumped out at me was:

    An apple cored
    Still tastes of apple
    Without its heart
