Microponderings 9. – movement

Talking at breakfast
Is somewhat unnatural
Birdsong at midnight

With each hacking cough
The chest walls go off
Like a bomb in a lift

Second hand freezes
Jumps to its destination
Where time stops again

The old hour hand strolls
During minute hands playtime
Meeting at midnight

Camera freeze frame
Clock stops
The last rain drop

Short for
Come fortified

Tiller of the soil

Public faces grey
After watching young Whistler
Flinging a paint pot
