… where Romanticism exposes the Dualist lie.

My goddess:
sickly, silver illumined

Full, bolus moon
half-hid through tracing paper,
your diffuse smile barely
skims me.

I pray for animal eyes,
better adapted to night,
where you always are.

Yet I know
every
metric tonne of you,

Sat there
at my centre,
orbiting.

Moving and still.

I am in you, somewhere, everywhere.

  1. very mystical – praying for animal eyes as they often have a far reaching vision…would it be a bird of prey or some other nocturnal creature. I think animals could help us truly see.
